How DPC Membership Discounts Work at BlueWater Family Wellness

Wondering how a DPC membership works, and if it’s a good fit for your family? We’re here to help. BlueWater Family Wellness is a direct primary care (and direct pediatric primary care) provider.

Rather than a confusing mix of insurance payments, copays, and deductibles, we offer patients and their families the convenience of paying directly for their primary care services. Their monthly membership fee covers an extensive list of medical testing services, office visits, and more. When compared to non-member rates for the same services, our member families save money across the board.

What’s Included in My Membership Fee?

Your monthly DPC fee covers all of your primary care visits with BlueWater Family Wellness. This includes:

  • Preventative Care: Any healthcare services or wellness support you need to lower risk of illness and feel your very best.
  • Care Coordination: These visits cover things like medication check-ups and follow-up.
  • Sick Visits: When you or your child don’t feel well, your DPC membership gets you the benefit of comprehensive care (for illnesses like strep throat, the flu, and many others).
  • Testing, Diagnostics, and Consutations: DPC membership fees also cover a range of in-office testing and related consultations. Note: Sometimes testing supplies are limited. If possible, please let us know what you’d like testing for before you come in, so we can be sure to have what you need on hand. There may be times that rarer/more extensive testing is available for an additional fee.
  • Clear, Direct Communication: One of the biggest benefits of a DPC membership is simplifying communication with your healthcare team. It’s much easier to reach our team with healthcare and billing questions than it is to navigate the communication of a large clinic or a health insurance company. Members can reach us by email, text, or through their patient portal.

Is There Anything a DPC Membership Doesn’t Cover?

Direct Primary Care memberships cover primary care services our office provides. We are unable to provide hospital services, and we may need to refer you to an emergency room, an urgent care clinic, or a specialist in some situations. For these, you’ll need to be prepared to pay the traditional way (using the co-pay and deductible system through your insurance plan).

Are Your DPC Memberships Just for Families?

There’s great news if you’re a small business owner in Clermont looking to provide great healthcare options for your employees. BFW has DPC membership options for businesses. Groups of up to 10 employees can enjoy the same benefits individuals and families do, along with the convenience of a straighforward, direct payment for their primary care services.
